Woman detained after 45-minute intimidating police standoff

Eagle Pass, TX - A woman reportedly from Mexico that failed to obey a traffic stop les to Eagle Pass Police Department's show of force.

The female subject led officers to a brief chase that ended up in a residence located nearby to Veterans Blvd on the neighborhood located in front of the old Danny's restaurant.

Woman refused to get down from vehicle, claiming she was afraid of possibly being mistreated, intimidated by the amount of elements from the local police department that arrived to the scene.

After a 45-minute police standoff, the woman requested for all units to depart from the scene, including informate news reporter who was at scene reporting live.

Moments after her request was met, it was informed she was detained and remains in custody of the Eagle Pass Police Department.

La mujer llevó a los oficiales a una breve persecución que terminó en una residencia ubicada cerca de Veterans Blvd en el vecindario ubicado frente al antiguo restaurante Danny. La mujer se negó a bajar del vehículo, alegando que temía ser maltratada, intimidada por la cantidad de elementos del departamento de policía local que llegaron a la escena. Después de un enfrentamiento policial de 45 minutos, la mujer solicitó que todas las unidades salieran de la escena, incluyendo al reportero de informate que se encontraba en vivo en la escena.
