Eagle Pass, TX - Continuing diligent investigation into a December 2019 murder case has resulted in the arrests of an additional two individuals.
Maverick County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) criminal investigators took into custody Alejandro Chavez and Adrian Rodriguez on charges of withholding information about the murder. Sheriff Tom Schmerber revealed Chavez turned himself in voluntarily on December 30 and Rodriguez was apprehended at his residence by MCSO deputies.
These latest arrests are in connection with the December 2019 murder of Sergio Arturo Lerma which occurred in the Deer Run Subdivision area.
Lerma was assassinated by gunshot allegedly fired by Mark Ivy who fled to San Antonio and was arrested soon afterwards. Also arrested back then at the time of the crime were Jonathan Romero and Margarita Isabel Chavez but not implicated as shooters.
Alejandro Chavez and Adrian Rodriguez now find themselves facing possible indictment on top of being witnesses in any potential trials of others involved.

Eagle Pass, TX - La continua investigación diligente de un caso de asesinato en diciembre de 2019 ha resultado en el arresto de dos personas más.
Los investigadores criminales de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Maverick (MCSO) detuvieron a Alejandro Chávez y Adrián Rodríguez por cargos de retener información sobre el asesinato. El alguacil Tom Schmerber reveló que Chávez se entregó voluntariamente el 30 de diciembre y Rodríguez fue detenido en su residencia por agentes de MCSO.
Estos últimos arrestos están relacionados con el asesinato de Sergio Arturo Lerma en diciembre de 2019 que ocurrió en el área de la subdivisión de Deer Run.
Lerma fue asesinado por bala presuntamente disparada por Mark Ivy, quien huyó a San Antonio y fue arrestado poco después. También fueron arrestados en ese entonces en el momento del crimen Jonathan Romero y Margarita Isabel Chávez pero no implicados como tiradores.
Alejandro Chávez y Adrián Rodríguez ahora se enfrentan a una posible acusación, además de ser testigos en los posibles juicios de otros involucrados.
