Eagle Pass, TX - Lately, Eagle Pass and Maverick County have witnessed a dramatic increase in cases of COVID-19.
On Friday, County Judge David Saucedo announced that three individuals will be taken to District court, being charged as felony for defying the quarantine rule.
The three irresponsible individuals who recently tested positive for the virus are continuing to disobey the quarantine order, putting other community residents at high risk of getting infected.
"We have 98 positive as of today, three of those individuals are continuing to defy the quarantine rule and going out in public," County Judge David Saucedo stated. "Those three individuals are going to be charged with a felony."
As of yesterday, 98 community residents have tested positive for the virus, last week the first coronavirus-related death took place in our community.

El viernes, el juez del condado David Saucedo anunció que tres personas serán llevadas a la corte de distrito, acusadas de delito grave por desafiar la regla de cuarentena.
Las tres personas irresponsables que recientemente dieron positivo para el virus continúan desobedeciendo la orden de cuarentena, poniendo a otros residentes de la comunidad en alto riesgo de infectarse.
"Tenemos 98 positivos a partir de hoy, tres de esos individuos continúan desafiando la regla de cuarentena y saliendo en público", declaró el juez del condado David Saucedo. "Esos tres individuos serán acusados de un delito grave".
Hasta el dia de ayer, 98 residentes de la comunidad dieron positivo por el virus, la semana pasada tuvo lugar la primera muerte relacionada con el coronavirus en nuestra comunidad.
