Piedras Negras, Mexico - This afternoon an incident occurred outside the migrant caravan shelter in Piedras Negras that alarmed the people present in the area.
According to witnesses, an officer of the State Police "Fuerza Coahuila" accidentally fired a shot from his weapon inside an agency assigned patrol unit.
The officer's use of weapon has been temporarily suspended while investigation takes place to determine the cause of the incident.
A great number of elements of Fuerza Coahuila, and other local, state and federal agencies, are assigned duties outside the shelter. As of now, it is unknown if the officer was manipulating his weapon or if it simply was an oversight on his part.
Despite no injuries have been reported, the incident did place all authorities and immigrants at risk since the bullet could have impacted someone or something.

Piedras Negras, México - Esta tarde ocurrió un incidente en el exterior del albergue de la caravana de migrantes en Piedras Negras que alarmó a la gente presente en el área.
Según testigos, un oficial de la Policía Estatal "Fuerza Coahuila" disparó accidentalmente su arma desde dentro de un vehiculo de patruasignado por la agencia. Se le sanciono el uso de arma al oficial temporalmente mientras se lleva a cabo una investigación para determinar la causa del incidente. Un gran número de elementos de Fuerza Coahuila, y otras agencias locales, estatales y federales, tienen deberes asignados fuera del refugio. En estos momentos, se desconoce si el oficial estaba manipulando sus armas o si simplemente fue un descuido de su parte. A pesar de que no se han reportado heridos, el incidente puso a todas las autoridades e inmigrantes en riesgo ya que la bala podría haber impactado a alguien o algo.
