Eagle Pass, TX - City of Eagle Pass officials have announced that the International Bridge 1 will be closed on Friday afternoon.
The officials stated that the closure will be from 3:00 pm to approximately 7:00 pm due to the International Friendship Festival's unique "Abrazo de la Amistad" event that will take place at the border line of Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras in the International Bridge 1.
This is a traditional event that takes place year after year, where both sides of the border demonstrate the great friendship that exists between both border cities, and the 2019 Mister Amigos for Mexico, Hermana Lupita and for US, Mexican Consulate Ismail Navejas will be acknowledged.
Commuters are being advised that if needed to travel from or to Piedras Negras, travel via International Bridge 2. Traffic congestion is expected so please be patient.
El Puente Internacional 1 cerrara por 4 horas el viernes por la tarde, se espera un caos de tráfico
Eagle Pass, TX - Los funcionarios de la Ciudad de Eagle Pass han anunciado que el Puente International numero 1 estará cerrado el viernes por la tarde.
Los funcionarios declararon que el cierre será de 3:00 pm a aproximadamente 7:00 pm debido al evento único "Abrazo de la Amistad" del Festival Internacional de Amistad que tendrá lugar en la lÃnea fronteriza de Eagle Pass y Piedras Negras en el Puente Internacional numero 1. Este es un evento tradicional que se lleva a cabo año tras año, donde ambos lados de la frontera demuestran la gran amistad que existe entre ambas ciudades fronterizas, y los Mister Amigos 2019 para México, Hermana Lupita y el Consulado Mexicano en los Estados Unidos, Ismail Navejas serán reconocidos. Se está informando a los viajeros que si es necesario viajar desde o hacia Piedras Negras, viaje a través del Puente Internacional 2. Se espera una congestión de tráfico, asà que sea paciente.
