Eagle Pass, TX - A jailer of the GEO prison located 12 miles north of Eagle Pass, was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center after being physically assaulted by an inmate.
According to Maverick County Sherrif's Office, the aggressor in this case the prisoner will face assault charges.
The GEO prison houses inmates from the State of Iowa and has been scene of many incidents including discovery of drugs within others.
The jailer pertained a broken nose and facial injuries in the attack, the report says.
