Ricardo Lopez is going to jail for more than eight years after being convicted for accepting bribes
Del Rio, TX - On Monday, July 2, at the Del Rio Federal Court, an 8-year prison sentence was announced for Ricardo Lopez, former mayor of Crystal City found guilty of charges of bribery and theft of public resources.
42-year-old Lopez, remains detained for approximately one year, time which will be taken into account.
Another individual involved in the Crystal City scheme of embezzlement of public resources, is Williams James Jonas, former City Manager and City Attorney who previously received a 35-year sentence.
