Carrizo Springs, TX - THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on December 28, 2020 at approximately 5:33 am on State Highway 85 near mile marker 420 in Dimmit County.
The crash occurred one mile west of Brundage, TX. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Ford pickup was traveling east on SH 85 and drove onto the wrong side of the roadway causing a head on collision with a 2015 Mack truck tractor towing a 2011 Trox trailer that were traveling west on SH 85.
Due to injuries sustained, the driver of the Ford pickup, Javier Ibarra 41 YOA, a resident of Eagle Pass, TX, was pronounced deceased on scene.
DPS Troopers are further investigating this fatal crash.

El accidente ocurrió a una milla al oeste de Brundage, TX. La investigación preliminar reveló que una camioneta Ford 2017 viajaba hacia el este por la SH 85 y se dirigió hacia el lado equivocado de la carretera, lo que provocó una colisión frontal con un camión tractor Mack 2015 que remolcaba un remolque Trox 2011 que viajaba hacia el oeste por la SH 85.
Debido a las lesiones sufridas, el conductor de la camioneta Ford, Javier Ibarra 41 YOA, residente de Eagle Pass, TX, fue declarado fallecido en la escena.
