Eagle Pass, TX - A City of Eagle Pass Water Works System (EPWWS) treatment plant employee sustained a significant forehead injury after a pressure hose came loose from his hands while cleaning a sewer line.
The work incident took place on Tuesday morning at the facilities located in El Indio, Texas where firefighters responded to the location and assisted the man who had a sharp injury.
He was transferred to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center where he will be treated with multiple stitches, according to EPWWS director Jorge Barrera.
The employee was holding the hose when cleaning the drain but due to the pressure it hit his forehead.
Everything indicates that despite the severe wound, it apparently did not represent a life risk, however, he will remain under close observation to monitor the injury.
