Eagle Pass, TX - The Eagle Pass, Maverick County Emergency Operations Center has reported that this week two individuals were placed under arrest for violating mandatory self-quarantine orders.
The individuals had resulted positive with COVID-19 recently, but refused to follow the quarantine order, exposing others to the virus.
So far, three individuals have been arrested for not following such orders, however, four more arrest warrants are in the process to be issued for individuals who were also caught to be out in the community.
Quarantine violation is considered a serious offense, especially with the recent surge in cases locally.
Authorities confirmed an additional 56 cases on Thursday, elevating the total number until July 9 to 776.
The community is urged to report any similar incidents of individuals who are not following safety measure to the EOC at (830) 421-5122.

Eagle Pass, TX - El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia (EOC) de la ciudad de Eagle Pass y el Condado de Maverick ha informado que esta semana dos personas fueron arrestadas por violar órdenes obligatorias de cuarentena. Los individuos habían resultado positivos con COVID-19 recientemente, pero se negaron a seguir la orden de cuarentena, exponiendo a otros al virus. Hasta ahora, tres personas han sido arrestadas por no seguir tales órdenes, sin embargo, cuatro órdenes de arresto más están en proceso para emitirse para personas que también fueron atrapadas por estar afuera en la comunidad.
Se insta a la comunidad a informar cualquier incidente similar de personas que no cumplan con las medidas de seguridad al EOC al (830) 421-5122.
