Mathis, TX - Over the weekend a fatal train and car collision was registered on Mathis, TX.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred on Saturday at 10:35 am, leaving 3 children, passengers dead and one adult, driver severely injured.
Preliminary reports reveal the driver failed to stop at the rail road intersection, causing the train to struck the right side of the vehicle, ejecting two of the underage passengers.
The DPS spoke person also indicated that the train crossing failed to show any gates to alert drivers of a passing train.
The Beeville Independent School District arranged a Memorial Service for the three school district students, Aiden Posada, 12, Aubree Galle, 5, Jacoby Posada, 8 who passed away in this tragic accident:

Our hearts are heavy this morning. We are profoundly saddened by the passing of our beloved BISD students Aiden Posada, Jacoby Posada, and Aubree Galle. We convey our heartfelt condolences to their families. I ask our Beeville ISD family to please keep them in your deepest thoughts and prayers.
Nothing can prepare us for such a loss. At this time, the most important thing we can do is to hold fast to our faith, which gives us the strength to love, cherish, and support one another—and let us embrace one another both spiritually and physically, feeling the power of His presence comforting us as we struggle to understand.

Tres niños mueren en un fatal accidente automovilístico cerca de Corpus Christi
Mathis, TX - Durante el fin de semana se registró una colisión fatal entre un tren y un automóvil en Mathis, TX.
Según el Departamento de Seguridad Pública de Texas, el accidente ocurrió el sábado a las 10:35 am, dejando a 3 niños, pasajeros muertos y un adulto, conductor gravemente herido. Los informes preliminares revelan que el conductor del vehículo no se detuvo en la intersección de la vía férrea, lo que provocó que el tren golpeara el lado derecho del vehículo y expulsara a dos de los pasajeros menores de edad. La persona empleado con DPS también indicó que el cruce del tren no mostró ninguna puerta para alertar a los conductores de un tren que pasa.
