Tattoo Appointment Turns Into Alleged Indecent Assault in Del Rio

DEL RIO, TX — A 39-year-old tattoo artist was arrested by Del Rio police on June 26, 2025, after allegedly making non-consensual contact with a female client during a tattoo session.
According to the Del Rio Police Department, Efren Perez Rodriguez, owner of a local tattoo studio, arrived at the police station around 10:03 p.m. to inquire whether any charges had been filed against him. During the encounter, Rodriguez reportedly admitted to placing his hand on a female client’s private area while he was tattooing her. He acknowledged that the contact was rejected by the woman.
Shortly after Rodriguez’s arrival, a detective told the officer that the female victim was formally reporting the incident. The victim told detectives that the contact was unwanted and non-consensual.
Rodriguez was placed under arrest and charged with Indecent Assault, a criminal offense under Texas law. He was processed by authorities and later transferred to the custody of GEO Correctional Facility.
The case remains under investigation, and Efren Perez Rodriguez is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
