Streamlined donation process for Law Enforcement in Del Rio

Del Rio, Texas – The City of Del Rio and Val Verde County are streamlining the donation process for law enforcement officers (LEO’s) who are deployed in Del Rio, Texas assisting with the immigration crisis on our border.

The community has shown great support by providing generous donations for onsite LEO’s over the last few days. Moving forward, we are streamlining this process to request what is needed and can be accepted for them. Food and beverages cannot be accepted as a form of donation.

Please do not take donations directly to the Port of Entry as this directly affects the traffic flow and operation at the international bridge site.

For more information, please contact City of Del Rio Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 830-775-2313 (select Option 1).

Donations for LEO’s will be accepted at Plaza del Sol Mall beginning tomorrow, September 23, 2021 from 9:00am- 5:00pm at the old Bealls location.

Accepted: Hygiene products (shower gel, soap, shampoo, conditioner), feminine hygiene products, bath towels, wash cloths, lotion, linens, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, pre-packaged non-perishable snacks.
