SCAM ALERT: Local Residents Received Fraudulent Letter Requesting Payment

EAGLE PASS, TX - The Maverick County Appraisal District is advising residents to be aware of a current fraud targeting our City.


Fraudulent Company allegedly based out of Austin, Texas is requesting for a payment in exchange for processing a reduction in the payment for property taxes.


A discount is currently being offered by the appraisal district free of charge, Taxpayers are invited to visit the Maverick County Appraisal District to sign a document in order to take advantage of the offer.

Unfortunately, it is possible that some people may have fallen for the fraudulent letter, so please be on alert and not fall into this type of fraud.
