Eagle Pass, TX - A controversial political ad continuously being posted and reposted by close Ramsey E. Cantu political allies suggests that the former mayor who is now a candidate for county judge is soft on crime.
The so-called "Yum Yum Tree" ad states having a duly elected sheriff to enforce criminal laws and maintain the peace in our civilized community is just a WASTE of taxpayers' money. Ramsey's political advertisement does not stop there.
His campaign-aligned ad also suggests that Ramsey plans to eliminate only the duly elected Precinct 3 constable law enforcement agency because it is a WASTE to have this layer of law enforcement protection in this portion of Maverick County, according to the artwork.
As Mayor, Ramsey opposed firefighters and police officers when they wanted to negotiate a civil service agreement with the City of Eagle Pass. His political track record is clear that he does oppose police officers and fire fighters who deliver some of the most basic government services to our citizens and voters.
On the other hand, Judge David Saucedo has demonstrated his strong support for the different law enforcement agencies within the community including the City of Eagle Pass Police Department and Eagle Pass Independent School District's Police Department.
During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Saucedo through the Emergency Operations Center made sure that elements of EPPD, EPISD PD and MCSO were involved in the collaborative effort of fighting the highly contagious virus.
Thanks to united efforts demonstrated by then Mayor Luis Sifuentes and County Judge David Saucedo, LEOs were compensated hazard pay for their tireless work throughout the most difficult time in recent history.

Eagle Pass, TX - Un controvertido anuncio político que los aliados políticos cercanos de Ramsey E. Cantú publican y vuelven a publicar continuamente sugiere que el exalcalde que ahora es candidato a juez del condado es suave con el crimen.
El llamado anuncio "Yum Yum Tree" afirma que tener un sheriff debidamente elegido para hacer cumplir las leyes penales y mantener la paz en nuestra comunidad civilizada es solo un MALGASTO del dinero de los contribuyentes. El anuncio político de Ramsey no se detiene ahí.
Su anuncio alineado con la campaña también afirma que planea eliminar solo la agencia policial debidamente elegida del Precinto 3 porque es un MALGASTO tener esta capa de protección policial en esta parte del condado de Maverick, según el anuncio.
Como alcalde, Ramsey se opuso a los bomberos y policías cuando querían negociar un acuerdo de servicio civil con la ciudad de Eagle Pass. Su historial político es claro: se opone a los policías y bomberos que brindan algunos de los servicios gubernamentales más básicos a nuestros ciudadanos y votantes.
Por otro lado, el juez David Saucedo ha demostrado su fuerte apoyo a las diferentes agencias de aplicación de la ley dentro de la comunidad, incluido el departamento de Policía de Eagle Pass y el del distrito escolar independiente.
