Eagle Pass, TX - On Wednesday, May 16 at approximately 1:45 PM EPPD Officer Jesse Gonzalez pulled over to offer assistance to a woman experiencing mechanical issues with her vehicle. The incident occurred at Bibb Street. The engine shut down on the woman, making her tremendously nervous and lost.
The officer’s willingness to assist and promptness to take control of the situation, is one to applaud considering the weather was close to 100°F, heavy traffic was present at the location and more significant the woman was accompanied by a toddler girl.
Law Enforcement Week kicked off last Monday and this is one of many examples why Police Officers ability “to serve and protect” should be acknowledged.
