Maverick County, TX - The source of the mysterious explosion heard and felt by many here in Maverick County this morning continues to be unknown.
The Eagle Pass News Leader has stayed on top of this mystery without any confirmations of the source.
Maverick County sheriff Tom Schmerber is equally puzzled as his deputies were unable to locate the source of the explosion and no reports have come in to the Sheriff Department providing leads.
As talk continues to circle in the community, many are speculating the most likely source would blasting associated with coal mining or perhaps a sonic boom from an aircraft breaking the sound barrier in our vicinity.
