Eagle Pass, TX - Detectives from the criminal area of the local police department are investigating an apparent suicide of a man who was found inside a pickup truck, Monday morning near the cemetery on Memorial Street.
The discovery of the body was made by officers who were alerted of the presence of a suspicious vehicle; upon arrival they verified the death. Inside the unit officers found a firearm that the person reportedly used to shoot himself.
A Justice of the Peace, who attested to the death, ordered that the body be sent before a Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
Within the investigations carried out by the authority, it was learned that the vehicle in which the person was found, has a registration with an address on Stafford Street, relatively close to where the incident took place.
Investigations are ongoing so if this fact is verified, the first suicide of the year that takes place in the city of Eagle Pass would be documented.

Eagle Pass, TX - Detectives del área criminal del departamento de policía local están investigando un aparente suicidio de un hombre que fue encontrado dentro de una camioneta, el lunes por la mañana cerca del cementerio en Memorial Street.
El hallazgo del cuerpo fue realizado por agentes que fueron alertados de la presencia de un vehículo sospechoso; al llegar verificaron la muerte. Dentro de la unidad, los agentes encontraron un arma de fuego que, según los informes, la persona utilizó para dispararse.
Un juez de paz, que dio fe de la muerte, ordenó que el cuerpo fuera enviado ante un médico forense para una autopsia.
Dentro de las investigaciones realizadas por la autoridad, se conoció que el vehículo en el que se encontró a la persona, tiene matrícula con domicilio en Stafford Street, relativamente cerca de donde ocurrió el incidente.
Las investigaciones están en curso por lo que de verificarse este hecho se documentaría el primer suicidio del año que ocurre en la ciudad de Eagle Pass.
