Eagle Pass, TX - A subject who cut himself while committing a robbery in a store on Del Río Boulevard, was arrested after leaving blood trails on the streets.
The subject attempted to flee the scene but was effectively found and arrested by MCSO deputies. The robbery took place during the early hours of Sunday, at the Six Pack Stop convenience store located near Siesta Acres.
When the alarm was activated, authorities were alerted and responded to the location where they confirmed damage to the glass of the main access; the subject reportedly stole four cases of alcoholic beverages and then fled.
Thanks to the traces of blood that the subject identified as 27-year-old Jose Angel Martinez left on the streets, deputies were able to immediately locate him and place him under arrest.
The subject's mother opened the door and let the officers in to arrest Martinez, who was hiding inside a closet.
Despite he resisted and assaulted an officer, he was restrained and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center. The man faces 3 charges, sheriff Tom Schmerber said.

Eagle Pass, TX - Un sujeto que se cortó mientras cometía un robo en una tienda en Del Río Boulevard, fue arrestado luego de dejar rastros de sangre en las calles.
El sujeto intentó huir de la escena, pero fue efectivamente encontrado y arrestado por agentes de MCSO. El robo ocurrió durante la madrugada del domingo, en la tienda de conveniencia Six Pack Stop ubicada cerca de Siesta Acres.
Cuando se activó la alarma, las autoridades fueron alertadas y acudieron al lugar donde confirmaron daños en el vidrio del acceso principal; Según los informes, el Sujeto robó cuatro cajas de bebidas alcohólicas y luego huyó.
Gracias a la sangre que dejó en las calles el sujeto identificado como José Ángel Martínez, de 27 años, los agentes pudieron localizarlo de inmediato y ponerlo bajo arresto.
La madre del sujeto abrió la puerta y dejó entrar a los oficiales para arrestar a Martínez, quien estaba escondido dentro de un armario.
A pesar de que se resistió y agredió a un oficial, fue inmovilizado y transportado al Centro de Detención Tom Bowles. El hombre enfrenta 3 cargos, dijo el alguacil Tom Schmerber.
