Eagle Pass, TX - A 22-year-old subject identified as Gustavo Díaz González was arrested by municipal police following an investigation carried out since last August which involved him in an act of harassment of a 14-year-old minor whom he asked to have sex over the internet, according to police.
Eagle Pass Police Department chief Federico Garza reported that Diaz knows the girl but took advantage of her confidence to surround her and act in a way that now makes him face justice.
He was arrested on Tuesday and during the afternoon of the same day he was presented with a justice of the peace who issued a bail of $20,000.
The police authority called on parents to check the phones of their minor children and detect if they are being victims of such crimes.

Eagle Pass, TX - Un sujeto de 22 años identificado como Gustavo Díaz González fue detenido por policías municipales luego de una investigación realizada desde agosto pasado que lo involucró en un acto de hostigamiento a una menor de 14 años a quien pidió tener sexo por internet, según la policía.
El jefe del Departamento de Policía de Eagle Pass, Federico Garza, informó que Díaz conoce a la niña pero aprovechó su confianza para rodearla y actuar de una manera que ahora lo enfrenta a la justicia.
Fue detenido el martes y durante la tarde del mismo día fue presentado ante un juez de paz quien le impuso una fianza de $20.000.
La autoridad policial llamó a los padres a revisar los teléfonos de sus hijos menores y detectar si están siendo víctimas de este tipo de delitos.
