Del Rio, TX - Laughlin Air Force Base personnel is strictly prohibited from entering bars and restaurants due to security protocols for the prevention of COVID-19 infections and to avoid being exposed to possible contagion.
Colonel Craig Prather of Laughlin AFB reminds his people that they can only use these establishments to buy prepared food and it must be take out only to reduce the risk of contracting a contagion.
Likewise, all people are reminded when they are returning to the Base facilities after the end of the year holidays, they have to follow the security protocols that are to be kept in quarantine for seven days in their homes by not showing any symptom of discomfort in order to return to normal activities.
The restrictions are made in order to take care of the personnel of the Laughlin Air Force base, not to contract the coronavirus and spread inside the affected base to thousands of people, and also help reduce the number of infections on this border.
This week Laughlin Air Force Base began to receive vaccines against COVID-19, so it could be this weekend when they begin to apply to personnel to protect them from that virus which has killed hundreds of lives on this border and all over the world.
The restrictions have been activated until the rate of infection in Val Verde County is reduced and it is safe again so that the base personnel can go out and visit their relatives, establishments and shopping centers.
Meanwhile they have to continue with the restrictions of not meeting with more than ten people, the buildings can only use 50 percent of their capacity, massive events are not allowed.

Del Rio, TX - El personal de la Base Aérea Laughlin tiene estrictamente prohibido entrar a bares y restaurantes debido a los protocolos de seguridad para la prevención de contagios de covid 19 y evitar estar expuestos a un posible contagio.
El Coronel Craig Prather de la Base Aérea Laughlin hace el recordatorio a su personas que solo pueden utilizar estos establecimientos para comprar comida preparada y debe ser solo para llevar para reducir el riesgo de contraer un contagio.
Asimismo se hace del recordatorio a todas las personas al estar retornando a las instalaciones de la Base después de las fiestas de fin de año, tiene que seguir los protocolos de seguridad que son de mantenerse en cuarentena durante siete días en sus hogares al no mostrar ningún síntoma de malestar podría regresar a sus actividades normales.
Las restricciones se hacen con la finalidad de cuidar al personal de la base aérea Laughlin, de no contraer el coronavirus y se propague en el interior de la base afectada a miles de personas, y también ayudan a reducir el número de contagios en esta frontera.
Esta semana la base aérea Laughlin empezó a recibir las vacunas contra COVID-19, por lo que podría ser este fin de semana cuando se les empiece a aplicar al personal para protegerlos de ese virus el cual a acabado con cientos de vidas en esta frontera y en todo el mundo.
Las restricciones se tienen activadas hasta que se reduzca el índice de contagios en esta población y que nuevamente sea seguro para que el personal de la base pueda salir y visitar a sus familiares, centros comerciales.
Mientras tanto tienen que seguir con las restricciones de no reunirse más de diez personas, los edificios solo pueden usar el 50 por ciento de su capacidad, no se permiten eventos masivos.
