Maverick County Sherrif Units were dispatched to 857 Wagon Wheel in reference to a motor vehicle accident with a house. Deputies arrived to location and noticed a 2006 Ford F-150 had struck a residence and a 2008 Ford Escape Beige which was parked in the driveway of the residence. Unit #1 stated he was traveling on Wagon Wheel when he fell asleep and ran off the road causing the vehicle to strike the residence and a parked vehicle. Upon speaking with driver who was identified as Fernando Hernandez Jr. (22 years of age), deputies then ran his name and DOB, and it his record revealed he had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest out of the Maverick County Sheriff Office for possession of Controlled Substance. Hernandez Jr. also displayed signs of intoxication in which admitted to drinking. Hernandez Jr. was then placed under arrest and transported to Tom Bowles detention Center for further processing.
