Carrizo Springs, TX - The U.S. federal government has announced that in response to the nonstop illegal crossing, they are now taking measures to be able to hold up to 3,000 additional immigrants.
According to the feds, a new facility will be established in Carrizo Spring to hold up to 1,600 teens in a massive building that formerly housed oilfield workers.
the other 1,400 children will be transported to military bases in Georgia, Montana and Oklahoma.
The main focus of these new holding facilities is to temporarily house all those children traveling alone while their status is determined to either be released to family members, friends or not.
