Eagle Pass, TX - The Eagle Pass Independent School District have registered until Wednesday afternoon, a total of 100 students infected with COVID-19, however, it is not in the same campus or a room where the infections occurred, therefore, at this times no excessive measures such as closure of schools will be implemented.
Superintendent Samuel Mijares stated that the infected students range from elementary level to high school, but also EPISD personnel.
Only one person, a student, was sent to the hospital but only for a more careful monitor of his health conditions, but he ruled out that it was anything serious.
The school year started three weeks ago and the majority of cases were detected in the second and third week, according to reports from the health authority.
With the above, Mijares said that the District is ready to apply daily tests to detect the virus in students.
