EPHS Senior David Kypuros named South Texas Defensive Player of the Year

Eagle Pass, TX - Eagle Pass is proud to announce that EPHS Senior David Ray Kypuros was named the 2018 VYPE Defensive Player of the Year.


The decision was tough when Runner-Up Kaylon Green from Del Rio High School was also competing for such distinguished nomination but came short with 86,074 votes (35.66%) compared to David's 91,845 votes (38.05%). Results gathered from official website:

A big thank you to everyone who made this possible, every single vote and every single minute that was dedicated towards this accomplishment is appreciated humbly by me and my family!! My Senior year has already been made memorable in my books, and I wouldn't ask for it to be any other way. All of the support and all of the love throughout this year have made it incredible for me. According to EPISD, Kypuros also serves as a positive role model for younger students in the district being an active member of EPISD Spirit Ambassadors.

David was also the 2018-2019 District 29-6A MVP and Captain of the Bi-District EPHS Eagles Football Team.

EPNL staff congratulates David and all individuals that contributed to his success; family members, coaching staff, teammates and other people that were somehow involved on this honorable accomplishment.
