EP youth baseball traveling team scores championship in major tournament

Kerrville, TX - An Eagle Pass baseball traveling team named "LB21-Alvar 12U" brought home a major title after being crowned champions in a tournament held over the weekend in Kerrville, Texas.
The team is led by well-known EP community leader and baseball coach Agustin "Dingo" Alvar, who's regularly seen active promoting sports specifically baseball throughout the year. Coach Alvar's hard work and dedication training the local youth paid off by scoring such big score.
According to Coach Alvar, the team which includes ten local Eagle Pass players and one from the sister city of Piedras Negras demonstrated their commitment and dedication to the sport by defeating tough competitors in the tournament
"Big shout out to all my pitchers that did work on the mound it’s not easy being a pitcher but with hard work and determination skies the limit / I can’t forget my little man Cruz caught the whole tournament and did some serious work behind the plate came in clutch in a California rule with a walk off hit to win the championship," coach Dingo stated. "Big shout out to my boy Brandon aka BIG PAPI for pitching an entire game with a no-hitter 6 innings / 10 K’s / 58 pitches, also battling at the plate for some clutch hits through out the tournament."
The team is composed by Alexandro Mallen, Alfredo Gallegos Jr, Emanuel Fernandez, Juan Cruz, Apolonio Delgado, Isaac Guerrero, Brandon Alvar, Jesus Barba, Kevin Rodrigo Sandoval Hernandez, Anthony Garcia and Rafael Garcia.
