EP woman victim of identity theft, thieves spent $50K in credit cards, police report says

Eagle Pass, TX - An officer of the Eagle Pass Police Department spoke with a female complainant on Monday, December 31st in regards to reports of fraud.


The female complainant discovered her credit card had been utilized in two different states and her personal information was also used to open several other credit cards.

According to the complainant, the unknown actor(s) had spent approximately $50,000 utilizing her personal information.


The complainant contacted the police departments in the states involved where she was advised an investigation was to ensue.

Eagle Pass, TX - Un oficial del Departamento de Policía de Eagle Pass habló con una mujer que se presentó una queja el lunes 31 de diciembre en relación con informes de fraude.

La denunciante descubrió que su tarjeta de crédito se había utilizado en dos estados diferentes y su información personal también se utilizó para abrir otras tarjetas de crédito.


Según la demandante, el actor desconocido (s) había gastado aproximadamente $50,000 utilizando su información personal.


La demandante se puso en contacto con los departamentos de policía de los estados involucrados donde se le informó que se realizaría una investigación.
