Eagle Pass, TX - An Eagle Pass Police Department (EPPD) officer identified as Julio Mancha was terminated from his activities after it was confirmed that he was involved in an incident while visiting Austin, Texas where he reportedly ended up getting arrested on a felony charge.
At the beginning of this month, EPPD informed that Chief Alberto Guajardo became aware of the situation where former Officer Mancha had been implicated.
Deputy Chief Alejandro Guedea declared when an element is involved in situations of this nature that could damage the image of the department, it will simply not be tolerated, "we apply zero tolerance," he stressed.
Mancha had been employed with EPPD for less than a year, and despite this situation prohibits him from remaining within the police department at this border, he can apply for a job within another law enforcement entity throughout the state.
