EAGLE PASS, TX — The Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) has announced the hiring of 30 new teachers for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year, which officially begins August 11. These new additions join the nearly 950 educators already serving the district’s more than 14,000 students.

The newly recruited teachers were brought in through active outreach efforts by EPISD personnel, who traveled across Texas—including the Rio Grande Valley—to promote the district and its competitive benefits. Many of the hires are relocating from other areas of the state to begin their new roles in Eagle Pass.

Superintendent Samuel Mijares confirmed that with these new hires, all teaching vacancies across the district have been fully staffed—including in Special Education, one of the most vital and demanding departments.

“Our Special Education team is now 100% complete,” said Mijares. “These are some of the most important positions we fill, because these children require specialized care and support.”

Mijares noted that academic performance in Special Education has seen steady improvement, crediting the commitment of both teachers and students. He added that EPISD is awaiting final state accountability scores and hopes to see the district rated in the high C or even B range.

“We ask the community to continue placing their trust in our teachers,” said Mijares. “They are doing exceptional work and are part of one of the strongest school districts in Texas. Their efforts are foundational to the learning and academic success of our children.”

Teacher orientation and training sessions for the new hires are set to begin Monday, as EPISD gears up for the first day of school.

This exciting news about new teachers reminds me of my own passion for education that I've had to balance with my accounting studies While volunteering with a local literacy program for underprivileged students, I found myself struggling to complete my dissertation on educational funding models as the program expanded and demanded more of my time Seeking specialized accounting Dissertation help allowed me to maintain my commitment to these students while producing quality research that could actually inform better resource allocation in our school systems

It's fascinating how a simple piece of clothing can become so iconic! The whole Princess Diana Harvard costume look, especially when paired with the biker shorts and sneakers, perfectly captures her '90s off-duty style. It wasn't just casual wear; it was a deliberate fashion statement. She essentially brought the American collegiate look into the royal stratosphere, showing a modern, relatable side that the public absolutely adored. The choice of a Harvard sweatshirt specifically also feels like a subtle nod to American culture and a growing independence from traditional royal protocol. It just proves how much of a communication tool her wardrobe was!

This is a fantastic rundown of winter coat essentials! I completely agree that brown is such an underrated color in men's outerwear. The beauty of a high-quality Men Brown Wool Coat is its insane versatility. You can literally throw it over a suit for a sophisticated, classic look, or dress it down with a chunky cream sweater and dark denim for a sharp weekend vibe. I'm seeing a lot of camel and chocolate brown overcoats trending for 2025, especially in double-breasted and belted styles, which really ups the elegance. Do you have any specific recommendations for pairing a dark brown coat with non-neutral colors, like a deep burgundy or forest green, for a modern contrast?

I loved the grounded, everyday style of Shang-Chi's look in the movie! That signature bomber Shang Chi Jacket is such a great piece of costume design. It manages to be instantly recognizable but still something you could genuinely wear out on the street. The detail about it being a reversible jacket—red/grey on one side and blue/brown on the other—is brilliant for a character who is living a double life. It’s like two iconic looks in one. Seriously considering getting a replica for my own wardrobe. It's the perfect blend of casual coolness and superhero swagger!

I absolutely love the sophisticated look of The Santa Clauses Tim Allen Suit! They really stepped up the design for the Disney+ series. That rich, deep velvet material and the plush fur trim elevate it beyond a simple costume. It's the kind of Santa outfit that looks genuinely magical and luxurious, fitting for a Santa who has been doing the job for nearly 30 years. It seems both authentic to the traditional image of St. Nick yet updated with a modern, high-quality feel. It’s definitely a new classic!
