Diego Ibarra shoots 77 in opening round of state tourney, ten strokes back

CC Winn high school golfer Diego Ibarra finds himself 10 strokes off the lead after firing a disappointing 77 in the opening round of the state high school tournament on Monday.
Ibarra was set to tee off at 9 a.m. today Tuesday in round two of the tourney being held at the White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown Texas.
The opening round 77 leaves Ibarra in the middle of the pack of state golf tournament qualifiers and with a few breaks going his way today could move smartly up the leaderboard.
However, the ten stroke difference and number of players between him and the lead makes it unlikely Ibarra will be in the final mix for top honors.
