Del Rio, TX - Val Verde County Judge Lewis Owens recorded a self video called "reporting the facts", explaining what is right and wrong of the recent Del Rio Mayor's statements on KENS-5.
Judge Owens went on social media to call out Mayor Bruno Lozano for using what be considers "scare tactics", "I am going to repeat, the hospital does not have, NOT HAVE, COVID patients in the damn hall, Mayor you are wrong," Judge Owens said.
The County Judge clarified that stores such as HEB and Wal-Mart will remain open despite the 21 day stay home voluntary recommendation issued by Mayor Bruno Lozano recently.
The judge directed his message to the citizens of Del Rio and Val Verde County to inquire who they want to be in charge or "running the situation" during the outgoing situation with COVID-19, the City or the County.
"I don't know where he's at for three months, I sort of glad he was gone," Judge Owens stated. "All of a sudden we have the Mayor that gets in and everything goes to hell!"
Unlike Eagle Pass which Mayor and County Judge have worked excellent together, differences have clearly risen in Del Rio between the County Judge and Del Rio Mayor, adding more tension and worsening the whole situation.

Del RÃo, TX - El juez del condado de Val Verde, Lewis Owens, grabó un video propio llamado "informando los hechos", explicando lo que está bien y lo que está mal en las recientes declaraciones del alcalde de Del RÃo con el canal de San Antonio KENS-5.
El juez Owens acudió a las redes sociales para llamar al alcalde Bruno Lozano por usar lo que se considera "tácticas de miedo", "voy a repetir, el hospital no tiene, NO TIENE, pacientes con COVID en el maldito pasillo, alcalde usted está equivocado, " declaro el juez Owens.
El juez del condado aclaró que las tiendas como HEB y Wal-Mart permanecerán abiertas a pesar de la recomendación voluntaria de 21 dÃas de quedarse en casa emitida recientemente por el alcalde Bruno Lozano.
El juez dirigió su mensaje a los ciudadanos de Del Rio y el condado de Val Verde para preguntarles a quién quieren estar a cargo o "manejar la situación" durante la situación saliente con COVID-19, sera la ciudad o el condado.
"No sé dónde ha estado durante tres meses, me alegro de que se haya ido", dijo el juez Owens. "¡De repente tenemos al alcalde que entra y todo se va al infierno!"
En comparasion de Eagle Pass donde el alcalde y juez han trabjo muy bien juntos, las diferencias han aumentado claramente en Del Rio entre el juez del condado y el alcalde de Del Rio, lo que agrega más tensión y empeora toda la situación.
