Eagle Pass, TX - This Monday 95 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, increasing the cumulative total to 5,220 infections since the month of March when the pandemic began. Additionally, there are 564 patients who must be quarantined at home due to the disease.
On Monday's afternoon COVID-19 briefing, County Judge David Saucedo specified that the clinical centers that collaborate with the EOC have carried out a total of 29,459 tests, of which 24,161 have returned negative, and 158 are still pending.
A total of 4,506 people have fully recovered. The death toll remains at 150 and the infection rate is at 17.8%, Judge Saucedo said.
In the hospital 16 people are currently cared for, of these, 4 are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), another 11 are on the medical floor and 5 patients are treated in the breathing room.
