I thank my wife and my family for supporting me in my decision to run for Mayor of Eagle Pass.
To the citizens of Eagle Pass, I thank you all for electing me and entrusting me as your city council member. I hope to count on your support as I run for Mayor. Thank you for giving me opportunity to be one of your representatives.
I believe I can provide the leadership Eagle Pass needs to prosper. I love the City of Eagle Pass. This community has provided me with my livelihood and with my education. I look forward to raising a family in this City. I want to continue being a voice for the residents of Eagle Pass. I am running because I believe I can make sound decisions for the benefit of all our residents. I have no hidden agendas. My sole purpose is to serve my community, listen to concerns and follow up with solutions.
These recent times have been hard. With the COVID-19 pandemic our community has been hit hard. Businesses has suffered. Many people in our community have passed away due to this disease. To the families of those people I say, I am sorry for your loss and I extend my sincere condolences. I pray God brings you comfort during this difficult time.
During my time in office, I have witnessed the resiliency of our community. From our PD and FD working long hours responding to calls around the clock saving lives. Our hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and all medical professionals caring for our residents. Our public works, solid waste, parks employees making sure our city is providing efficient services. Our administration team getting creative finding solutions and moving our city forward even with this economic turmoil.
Eagle Pass is resilient.
If given the opportunity to be mayor I will work with the rest of council as a team. Because it’s not about one person. It’s about all council coming together to make decisions for the benefit of our people. Also, I vouch to work with our other entities in the community like the County, Hospitals, School district and Kickapoo Tribe of Texas.
During this time businesses have suffered I plan on supporting and promoting our local businesses. We need more jobs in Eagle Pass. Unemployment is high about 16-18 percent.
I also will make sure all our employees are treated with respect and dignity. I have seen their work and we have amazing hard-working people. They deserve to be well taken care of.
A vision for growth is important. We need to look at projects like the reconfiguration of bridge number 2 which will allow for more access and increase use of commercial traffic and trade coming through this port of Eagle Pass.
I am an independent candidate. My loyalty is to you all the residents of Eagle Pass and it will always be that way. Thank you and God bless.

Agradezco a mi esposa y mi familia por apoyarme en mi decisión de postularme para alcalde de Eagle Pass.
A los ciudadanos de Eagle Pass, les agradezco a todos por elegirme y confiarme como miembro del concejo municipal. Espero contar con su apoyo mientras me postulo para alcalde. Gracias por darme la oportunidad de ser uno de sus representantes.
Creo que puedo proporcionar el liderazgo que Eagle Pass necesita para prosperar. Amo la ciudad de Eagle Pass. Esta comunidad me ha proporcionado mi sustento y mi educación. Espero poder formar una familia en esta ciudad. Quiero seguir siendo una voz para los residentes de Eagle Pass. Me postulo porque creo que puedo tomar decisiones acertadas en beneficio de todos nuestros residentes. No tengo agendas ocultas. Mi único propósito es servir a mi comunidad, escuchar inquietudes y dar seguimiento a las soluciones.
Estos últimos tiempos han sido duros. Con la pandemia de COVID-19, nuestra comunidad se ha visto muy afectada. El negocio ha sufrido. 166 personas de nuestra comunidad han fallecido a causa de esta enfermedad. A las familias de esas personas les digo, lamento su pérdida y les extiendo mi más sentido pésame. Oro para que Dios les traiga consuelo durante este momento difícil.
Durante mi tiempo en el cargo, he sido testigo de la capacidad de recuperación de nuestra comunidad. Nuestro PD y FD trabajan largas horas respondiendo a llamadas las 24 horas del día salvando vidas. Nuestros hospitales, clínicas, hogares de ancianos y todos los profesionales médicos que atienden a nuestros residentes. Nuestros empleados de obras públicas, residuos sólidos, parques se aseguran de que nuestra ciudad brinde servicios eficientes. Nuestro equipo de administración se pone creativo para encontrar soluciones y hacer avanzar nuestra ciudad incluso con esta agitación económica.
Eagle Pass es resistente.
Si se me da la oportunidad de ser alcalde, trabajaré con el resto del consejo como equipo. Porque no se trata de una sola persona. Se trata de que todos los consejos se unan para tomar decisiones en beneficio de nuestra gente. Además, me comprometo a trabajar con nuestras otras entidades en la comunidad como el condado, hospitales, distrito escolar.
Durante este tiempo, las empresas han sufrido, planeo apoyar y promover nuestras empresas locales. Necesitamos más trabajos en Eagle Pass. El desempleo es alto alrededor del 14-16 por ciento.
También me aseguraré de que todos nuestros empleados sean tratados con respeto y dignidad. He visto su trabajo y tenemos gente increíblemente trabajadora. Merecen ser bien cuidados.
Una visión de crecimiento es importante. Necesitamos considerar proyectos como la reconfiguración del puente número 2, que permitirá un mayor acceso y aumentará el uso del tráfico comercial y el comercio que llega a través de este puerto de Eagle Pass.
Soy un candidato independiente. Mi lealtad es para con todos ustedes los residentes de Eagle Pass y siempre será así. Gracias y Dios te bendiga.
