Eagle Pass, TX - Paul del Rincón, the CBP Eagle Pass Port of Entry director, will temporarily leave his post to fulfill a special assignment in Washington, DC at the offices of the Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.
For an estimated period of approximately 3 months Del Rincon will leave the border community, during which time he will be replaced by the assistant Port of Entry director of CBP in Del Río Gilbert Calderón.
Del Rincón will leave to DC next week, and despite he limited himself on stating what duties he will be fulfilling in the special mission, he stated that he will take advantage of this as CBP's representative on this border, to promote it and publicize all the projects that have been implemented under his administration.
"I should be back by the summer," Del Rincon stated. He pointed out that nothing is going to change, referring to the established projects and programs, on the contrary, "we hope that Calderon brings good ideas to mind to apply them and further improve existing operations."

Eagle Pass, TX - Paul del Rincón, director del Puerto de Entrada de CBP Eagle Pass, dejará temporalmente su cargo para cumplir una asignación especial en Washington, DC en las oficinas del Secretario de Seguridad Nacional, Alejandro Mayorkas.
Por un período estimado de aproximadamente 3 meses, Del Rincón dejará la comunidad fronteriza, tiempo durante el cual será reemplazado por el subdirector del Puerto de Entrada de CBP en Del Río, Gilbert Calderón.
Del Rincón partirá a DC la próxima semana, y aunque se limitó a precisar qué funciones cumplirá en la misión especial, afirmó que aprovechará como representante de CBP en esta frontera, para promocionarla y dar a conocer todos los proyectos que se han llevado a cabo bajo su administración.
"Debería estar de vuelta para el verano", dijo Del Rincon. Señaló que nada va a cambiar, refiriéndose a los proyectos y programas establecidos, por el contrario, “esperamos que Calderón traiga buenas ideas para aplicarlas y mejorar aún más las operaciones existentes”.
