Eagle Pass, TX - After appearing before a district judge, 17-year-old CC Winn student Rodolfo Perez, was denied a request through his defense attorney to have his bail reduced to recover freedom and thus face his trial for the murder charge.
This crime took place at the end of April in a property in the Chula Vista sector where the man detained allegedly murdered Angel García, a young 18-year-old man.
Sources from the Maverick County Sheriff's Office indicate that Pérez was transferred to the district court room to attend the hearing and learn the judge's resolution in the sense that the bail that was imposed from the beginning of $1 million would not be reduced and his process will continue until he is brought before the jury.
Pérez is accused of utilizing a firearm to shoot the other young man twice, in the abdomen and head; despite Garcia being transported to the hospital with vital signs, he died while attempting to fly to a San Antonio hospital.
The subject ultimately turned himself in voluntarily and a justice of the peace who was in charge of magistrating him imposed the bail.
