Eagle Pass, TX - An 18-day-old baby girl died apparently of natural causes, but due to the regret of the event, the justice of the peace who declared her dead ordered for an autopsy to be performed on her.

The regretful event took place on Thursday morning around 10 am, at a residence located on Taft Street within Eagle Pass city limits, a case that was officially reported to the police.

The minor, according to her parents, was 18 days old but her underlying health conditions were constant. It had been anticipated by a physician that she had a heart condition, which could eventually become mortal and unfortunately today it did.

There is no indication that the infant had been the victim of any abuse, neglect or exposure.

Officials reported that her pre-existing health condition was reported by her parents, however, as a safety protocol all information will be corroborated with the diligence carried out by the forensic doctor.

Eagle Pass, TX - Una niña de 18 días de nacida murió aparentemente por causas naturales, pero ante el pesar del hecho, el juez de paz que la declaró muerta ordenó practicarle una autopsia.

El lamentable hecho tuvo lugar la mañana del jueves alrededor de las 10 de la mañana, en una casa ubicada en la calle Taft dentro de los límites de la ciudad de Eagle Pass, caso que fue denunciado oficialmente a la policía.

La menor, según dijeron sus padres, tenía 18 días pero sus condiciones de salud de base eran constantes. Previamente, un médico había anticipado que tenía una afección cardíaca, que eventualmente podría volverse mortal y, lamentablemente, así fue.

No hay indicios de que el bebé haya sido víctima de abuso, negligencia o exposición.

Los funcionarios informaron que su condición de salud preexistente fue reportada por sus padres, sin embargo, como protocolo de seguridad toda información será corroborada con la diligencia que realice el médico forense.
