Eagle Pass, TX - Eagle Pass Police Department (EPPD) Patrol units responded to the 2600 block of Stone Hedge for a reported intoxicated male subject who had barricated himself in a room with his children.
Officers arrived and secured the residence of any weapons and encountered the male subject in a bedroom and was taken into custody without incident.
Elements spoke with the female complainant who informed officers she was 7 months pregnant and had been struck in the face by her husband, Carlos Emmanuel Cardenas during and argument, EPPD press report says.
Cardenas was arrested and taken before a magistrate where he was charged with 3rd degree felony assault on a pregnant person and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Cárdenas fue arrestado y llevado ante un magistrado donde fue acusado de agresión grave en tercer grado a una persona embarazada y enviado al Centro de Detención Tom Bowles en lugar de una fianza de $ 10,000.
