Eagle Pass, TX - A former Kickapoo Tribal security officer was arrested by the Maverick County Sheriff's Office, after barricading himself in a residence where he held two women hostage, one of them his wife, according to police.
The incident took place at midnight on Sunday and caused the mobilization of MCSO SWAT team that responded to the request for support from the tribal authority.
Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that the man identified as 33-year-old Brandon Ray Flores was left in the hands of the Kickapoo Tribal police after officers from both agencies were able to convince the man to hand his firearm over and release the hostages.
Flores could face four charges, the case is being investigated by the Kickapoo Tribal police, said the sheriff, who assured he does not know the reason behind the incident.

El hecho ocurrió a la medianoche del domingo y provocó la movilización del equipo SWAT de MCSO que respondió al pedido de apoyo de la autoridad tribal.
El alguacil Tom Schmerber informó que el hombre identificado como Brandon Ray Flores, de 33 años, quedó en manos de la policía tribal de Kickapoo después de que los oficiales de ambas agencias pudieron convencer al hombre de que aceptara entregar su arma de fuego y liberar a los rehenes.
Flores podría enfrentar cuatro cargos, el caso está siendo investigado por la policía tribal de Kickapoo, dijo el alguacil, quien aseguró desconocer el motivo del incidente.
