Eagle Pass, TX - Lieutenant Amy González and Interim Chief of Police Alejandro Guedea, are two of the nine applicants seeking to occupy the position that Alberto Guajardo left vacant at the end of July.
The list of applicants was revealed by the City of Eagle Pass Human Resources director, Cinthia Campos, in which Orlando Escareño, current chief of the Tribal Police, also appears.
Likewise, Chad Hoffman, Luis Martínez, Blayne Williams, Frank Ramírez, Abner Carrillo and Francisco Rodríguez.
They must be elected by the committee made up of citizens outside the police department and their decision should be endorsed by the City of Eagle Pass city council members when the time is right.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant González leads the popularity among officers as she has garnered support to lead the department in a new direction, fellow officers claim that her extensive experience as an officer makes her a strong candidate. It is unknown in what stage of the selection process city administration currently stands in.

Eagle Pass, TX - La teniente Amy González y el jefe de policía interino Alejandro Guedea, son dos de los nueve solicitantes que buscan ocupar el puesto que Alberto Guajardo dejó vacante a fines de julio.
La lista de solicitantes fue revelada por la directora de Recursos Humanos de la Ciudad de Eagle Pass, Cinthia Campos, en la que también aparece Orlando Escareño, actual jefe de la Policía Tribal.
Asimismo, Chad Hoffman, Luis Martínez, Blayne Williams, Frank Ramírez, Abner Carrillo y Francisco Rodríguez.
Deben ser elegidos por el comité formado por ciudadanos fuera del departamento de policía y su decisión debe ser respaldada por los miembros del concejo municipal de la ciudad de Eagle Pass cuando sea el momento adecuado.
Mientras tanto, la Teniente González lidera la popularidad entre los oficiales ya que ha ganado apoyo para llevar al departamento en una nueva dirección, sus compañeros oficiales afirman que su amplia experiencia como oficial la convierte en una candidata sólida. Se desconoce en qué etapa del proceso de selección se encuentra actualmente la administracion municipal.
