Eagle Pass, TX - Every student enrolled in a school within the Eagle Pass Independent School District (EPISD) is eligible to receive a benefit for the purchase of food, in the amount of $1,200.
The funds will be deposited on their card, as previously done last year within emergency directly caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Superintendent Samujel Mijares informed that the applications have been opened through the district's website and he considers that it is urgent for the parents of EPISD students to register because there resources could possibly be soon exhausted.
Mijares said that even the students who are about to graduate are eligible to receive the benefit, since the program covers the 2020-2021 school period.
When registering their children, no matter how many each family has, as long as they belong to the school district, they will be asked for the requirements to receive the funds that can be utilized to purchase food, Mijares said.
