EP woman arrested after hiding cocaine in mouth during traffic stop, police say


Eagle Pass, TX - Attempting to hide doses of cocaine in her mouth cost a woman being pulled over by Sheriff deputies to be transported to the Tom Bowles detention center along with her partner with whom she was traveling in a vehicle.


This incident was recorded Monday night on Diaz Street in the Seco Mines neighborhood in the north side of the county, where an officer detected that the driver of a 2007 Audi car had committed a traffic violation.

Information provided by Sheriff Tom Schmerber indicates that when the deputy approached the vehicle he perceived the smell of marijuana and proceeded to question its occupants, while observing that the companion put something in her mouth as if trying to hide it from the officer.


The officer asked her to show the item, and despite she repeatedly refused, when she finally agreed to remove it from her mouth, the officer then discovered several small envelopes containing cocaine.


The woman was identified as 19-year-old Paola Nichole Cazares, who is facing charges of possession of controlled substances, while the driver of the vehicle, Tomás Alejandro Méndez, was arrested for being intoxicated on public roads.

Eagle Pass, TX - El intentar esconderse dosis de cocaina en la boca, le costó a una mujer ser detenida por patrulleros del sheriff quienes la remitieron en el centro de detenciones Tom Bowles junto a su pareja con quien viajaba en un auto.

Este incidente se registro la noche del lunes en la calle Diaz de la colonia Minas del Seco al norte del condado, donde un oficial detectó que el chofer del auto Audi 2007, cometia una infracción de vialidad.

Le pidió mostrarlo, y aunque se negò en repetidas ocasiones finalmente aceptò sacarselo de la boca, siendo èsto varios sobres que contenìan cocaìna.

Su nombre es Paola Nichole Cazares de 19 años de edad, la que enfrenta cargos de posesiòn de sustancias controladas, mientras que al conductor del vehiculo, Tomás Alejandro Méndez se le detuvo por estar intoxicado en la via publica.
