County officials considering reduction in property taxes, raises for employees

Eagle Pass, TX - Maverick County Commissioners Court is considering approving a reduction in property taxes of three cents for next fiscal year's budget.
The current fiscal year ends next month on September 30, so sometime in August or September the residents will know the outcome.
In addition, the County Judge David Saucedo and the County Commissioners Court composed by Commissioners Gerardo 'Jerry' Morales, Rosy Cantu, Pete Venegas and Robert Ruiz are considering a 3% raise in salary for all County employees.
